NFA's Market Environment Index

Is the overall environment for stocks positive or negative?  The Proprietary NFA Model – Non-price timing statistics including interest rates, relative strength between markets, investor sentiment, new issue highs and new lows as well as other components used to measure strength and risk of the market environment.

This index works as an early warning system and the moving average will typically give a three to four day advance notice of trend change.  Conservative investors should always wait for price confirmation of trend change before committing dollars as the timing environment can stay positive or negative for months in opposition to a major trend change.  This index is designed to give a feel of the overall environment for stock growth.
